We now have a finance directory which we hope will be full of good contacts in the near future.

This includes contacts such as:
Accountants,
Financial Advisors,
Mortgage Advisors etc

If you are qualified in any of these areas or would like to see other categories added please contact me.
In order to add your info into the directory you need to make 10 posts and submit your info which you can do in your control panel.

Any problems contact myself or any of the staff,

Tony

Has anyone seen anything about these?

As far as im aware the idea is that for certain small transactions you wont need to use chip & pin in certain retailers for small transactions (Around £10) Its basically being tested in certain places now (Im not sure if i can disclose that info) But it seems to be making transactions quicker and easier.

Because it costs more than £10 for companies to look at fraudlant transaction and recall the monies from companies, which is what the credit card companies usually do with fraudulant transactions, they have figured it would be easier and cheaper to just right off the money.

I would imagine that there is some system in place that says after x amount of transactions under £10 the card will decline anyway as a security check but i dont know.

I think its a good idea for people that have 30-60 mins lunch that work in busy cities and go to the likes of Tesco express to get a sandwich for their lunch, i have had to do that occasionally and the queues are huge as everyone had the same idea but managed to get there before you. It means people will geet through that much faster by just swiping their card.

As you all know from the recent finance news that ABN Amro is going to sell its assets to either Barclays or Royal Bank of Scotland.
In addition, they are also thinking about selling their La Salle Bank Division to Bank of America or not.
With all this in mind, I am sure once the merger completes, there will be layoffs and job cuts.

My dilemma is that I have recently accepted a position with ABNAMRO and now there are merger talks.
I do have another offer from another company but it is a contract job ( 1 year).

I am not able to figure out what to do since I see ABNAMRO hiring more and more employees every single day.

Would you leave or would you stay?

For example: I read the finance news at yahoo.com. Not that I don't understand. It's just not make me interested. I need something that can get me hooked up and then probably news like yahoo.com can get me interested later, possibly I could understand completely.

* I just not doing anything, coz It's holiday from campus *

I co-host a local radio program every Saturday morning. The show is about investing, finances, retirement and wealth planning, etc.

I have a source for information that comes out every Monday, but that news is outdated by the end of the week.

I'm looking for something has has just news-bites... two-three-four sentences long. Sources would be great as well.

I don't want links to CNN Money, Yahoo Finance, etc. Those will give you thumbs-down. I need a site (even if it requires a subscription) to give a listing of news, aka "The Week in Review."
